Iron Man and Laurabossen - green - 3,4 km
The Laurabossen lie between the Kruispeel nature reserve and the Belgian border and form a beautiful contrast with the wet marshy parts of the KempenBroek. This route is a lovely mix of woodland and open plain.
Extensive description CloseHere you will find genuine sand dunes with distinctive trees and remnants of formerly vast heathland areas. The woodland mainly consists of Scots pine, planted around 1900 for mining purposes. Gradually, this woodland is being transformed into a more natural and species-rich deciduous forest. Along the way, you may encounter Scottish Highland cattle. You hike past several ponds and through the heathland of the military domain.
