Iron Man and Laurabossen - blue - 7,2 km
The Laurabossen lie between the Kruispeel nature reserve and the Belgian border and form a beautiful contrast with the wet marshy parts of the KempenBroek. This route offers a nice variation between woodland and open plain.
Extensive description CloseHere you will find genuine sand dunes with characterful trees and remnants of formerly extensive heathland plains. The woodland consists largely of Scots pine, planted around 1900 for mining purposes. Gradually, this woodland is being transformed into a more natural and species-rich deciduous forest. Along the way, you may encounter Scottish Highlanders. You hike past several ponds and through the heathland of the military domain.
