The hiking area Weerterbos and Hughterheide is located in the north of the KempenBroek. The blue route takes you from Weerterbos to the village of Laar, depending on where you start.
Extensive description CloseYou hike along the Weerterbos, a diverse area with old, moist deciduous woodlands, beautiful ponds, and small heathland areas, and arrive at the Daatjeshoeve where you can eat or drink something. During your hike to the village of Laar, you pass fields and meadows. The church of Laar stands on the former Laarderschans, which dates back to 1637 and was donated to the parish by the villagers in 1942. The schans was completely renovated in 2009 based on historical research.
