Extensive description Close

The Weerterbos has gained a lot of fame in recent years due to the presence of red deer. In autumn, it attracts many enthusiasts eager to catch a glimpse of the spectacular rutting season. Here you will find an impressive lookout tower from which you can spot the animals in the area.
However, the area has much more to offer! The woodland has its charms in every season, and those searching for the sounds of the Yellowhammer, Crested Tit, or Treecreeper will never be bored. Moreover, you hike along pingoruins and rabatten. Also visit the border chapel where Catholics used to secretly attend mass.
More information about the hiking area can be found on the hiking map of the area.
