The hiking area Weerterbos and Hugterheide is located on the border of Limburg (NL) and North Brabant (NL). It lies at the northernmost part of GrensPark Kempen~Broek. In recent years, Weerterbos has gained a lot of recognition due to the presence of red deer. You quickly discover that Weerterbos has much more to offer. It is a very diverse area with old, moist deciduous woodlands, several beautiful ponds, and small heathlands. On the western side, Weerterbos is flanked by dry woodlands of Hugterheide. Here and there you still find a patch of heathland. On the hiking map, you will find more information about the hiking routes and the sights in the area.
