This long hike shows you the western part of Duinengordel. The landscape is characterized by some beautiful ponds such as Ruiterskuilen and Turfven.
Extensive description CloseRuiterskuilen is characterized by the dark color of the acidic water, making it a very attractive habitat for dragonflies and damselflies. From a boardwalk, you can wonderfully enjoy the water and its surroundings.
Unfortunately, nothing remains of the former estate with farmhouse, Domein Donderslag, but the centuries-old oaks and beeches still bear witness to the rich past.
