Station As - blue - 6,8 km
Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen
This 6.9 km hike takes you through the valley of the Bosbeek. This area is carefully managed every day by the volunteers of Natuurpunt.
Extensive description CloseThe Bosbeek originates at the border of As and Genk. It forms the boundary between As and Opglabbeek, a sub-municipality
of Oudsbergen, over a distance of 2.5 km. The Bosbeek then flows through Opoeteren and Neeroeteren before emptying into the Maas in Aldeneik
(near Maaseik). The Bosbeek has a large gradient, which made it especially suitable for watermills.
