Mechelse Heide - green - 3,7 km

This short, woodland hiking route guides you through the Mechels Bos and takes you past the small station of Eisden, the final stop of the Kolenspoor. The last coal train left in 1987, passenger traffic had already been discontinued earlier. The wooden station building burned down completely and was later rebuilt as a tavern.

The old outbuildings of the station were also rebuilt and equipped as hikers' huts.
