Hoksent-Molhem (Near National Park Bosland) - blue - 1,8 km
The hiking area Hoksent-Molhem is located near Nationaal Park Bosland. On the nature trail Mullemer Bemden, Bas and Bruno take you through the Dommel valley. You will encounter a large-scale sewage treatment plant, but also small landscape features such as ponds and wooded edges.
Extensive description CloseThis short route introduces you to the Dommelvallei. You start at the Dommelhuis (opened in 2022), where there is ample parking available. The first part of the route goes in both directions over the same path.
Via boardwalks, you hike along the Dommel. Even in dry weather, the ground can sometimes be muddy here, so appropriate footwear is definitely recommended!
Due to the wet ground, the hikes are unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users and strollers.
The Dommel originates in Wauberg (Peer), joins with the AA in the Netherlands, and finally flows into the Maas. Here in Hoksent Molhem, the Bollissenbeek merges with the Dommel. We are therefore in a very moist stream valley.
