Abeekvallei - green - 4,1 km

This short hike starts from the village of Ellikom and takes you past the Hoogmolen, also known as the Peerdermolen. This historic watermill belonged to the lord of Peer before 1500 and was used as a grain mill by the 'laten', partly unfree farmers of the Ellikom estate. The mill provided the lord of Peer with an annual income of 70 guilders, equivalent to 1/10 of his expenses. Today, the beautifully restored mill is set up as a tavern and B&B, a place where history and hospitality come together. A short hike full of heritage in a rural setting.
