Zig and Goort - green - 2,4 km

On this short hike along the Abeek, past woodlands, meadows, and fields, you will also encounter the information boards of Tijn, the great ghost moth. This route is especially suitable for families with young children. At each information board, Tijn gives the children a task. They can also play for a while on the tree stumps!
Other routes in this hiking area lead you along the Zig with 17 hectares of ponds with reed edges and marsh zones. The Zig was once part of a vast marsh area along the Belgian-Dutch border. From the bird hide on the edge of the area, you have a chance to spot one of the residents, such as the water rail or bluethroat. But the Zig is also a true paradise for dragonflies like the emerald damselfly and the banded demoiselle.
