Extensive description CloseYou hike through the agricultural landscape around Stramproy with its vast fields. After a while, you pass the estate de Sjans with its monumental oaks. Here and there, you also see the names of old plots or lands amidst the greenery. The “Sjans van Stramproy,” where people could hide from bandits, used to lie in this marshy area. You also pass the reconstruction of the Roman Bridge over the Tungelroyse Beek. The bridge from 27 AD was originally built over the narrowest part of the stream. It was recently reconstructed a little further on to avoid damaging the original remains in the soil.
