Mariënlof - red - 4,0 km
A varied hike between nature and heritage. Featuring landscape art, the old fruit trail, and the rich history of the Mariënlof Abbey.
Extensive description CloseThe Kleine Herk and some tributaries have carved their valleys into this landscape. From the village of Kerniel, you enjoy a magnificent view of the abbey and the surrounding meadows and tall-stemmed orchards. Hidden in the folds of the landscape lie ponds, rough areas, and humid grasslands. Along the way, you pass landscape artworks by Aenea Wilder and Will Beckers.
Due to damage to the bridge on the cycle and walking route in Colen (Kerniel), the footpaths both above and below the bridge are closed.
