Lieteberg - orange - 13,4 km

This hike takes you through a varied landscape of woodland and farmland. Along the way, you pass the Mandelkapel. You also come to Bezoensberg, where you will find a small heathland relic. In Zutendaal, there was still an abundance of heathland in the 18th century, but afterwards the area was largely forested. A full return to this unique landscape is no longer possible, but thanks to targeted logging activities, mowing management, and grazing with sheep, a heathland area of about 2 hectares is maintained. A pleasant route for those who enjoy variety and a touch of history in nature.
