Kolis - yellow - 1,9 km

Experience nature like never before with the Yellow Route, better known as the Wielenweg. This specially designed experience route of 1.8 kilometers is perfectly suitable for wheelchair users and anyone who wants to enjoy comfortable hiking. The route is fully paved and mostly follows a tourist bike path. Keep in mind that it can be pleasantly busy on sunny days!

What makes this route special?

The Wielenweg winds through the beautiful Kolisbos, where you will find a mix of birch and oak woodlands, with stately pine trees here and there. This green setting is crossed by the babbling Kolisloop, which flows north into the Warmbeek. An idyllic environment where peace and nature come together.

Starting point with a unique view

Begin your route at Torenstraat, where you will find an impressive fire tower. This iconic building not only offers a piece of history but also serves as a vantage point for forest rangers during periods of extreme drought.
