This hike is a wonderful reflection of Dry Haspengouw. You pass by the castle of Widooie and the farmstead: the Monnikenhof.
Extensive description CloseVechmaal, Heks, Widooie, Bommershoven: the names of the villages nearby seem to come straight out of a fairy tale. They are well-preserved, compact residential cores that take up as little of the fertile fields as possible. Hiking here takes you past seemingly endless fields, only interrupted by monumental farmsteads.
