In Grootloon, you hike from the medieval streets of the noble city Borgloon to hill ridges dotted with fruit trees where the Romans already felt at home. Special animals such as the dormouse and midwife toad thrive here. You will also find the famous 'see-through chapel,' a beautiful piece of art in the landscape. 

From Heks, known for its impressive castle, you visit rustic farming villages where cows still graze peacefully under the tall-stemmed trees and fields stretch as far as the eye can see.
