Extensive description CloseDomein Kiewit is the ideal starting point for a short hike with the whole family. Watching the animals, playing on the playground, and enjoying a refreshment: you can do it all here. Moreover, you can visit the shop at the castle of Natuurpunt for nice little souvenirs.
This wilderness route takes you over boardwalks through marshland, past a bird hide to spot birds, and through the woods where the Galloway cattle graze.
A part of the blue route is temporarily closed due to unsafe boardwalks. The signage has been adjusted on-site, so you can follow the blue hiking loop without any worries.

- There is a dog park available near Nieuwe Heidestraat. At Borggravevijversstraat, there is also a dog off-leash woodland.
- Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended after wet periods
- The boardwalks can be slippery
- At the main buildings of Domein Kiewit, (wheelchair accessible) public toilet facilities are available
