The Schulensbroek is one of the largest nature reserves in Flanders and benefits from European protection! Many plant and animal species have found their home here. A lake, extensive grasslands and meadows, ponds, and numerous landscape features such as pollarded willows, hawthorn, and blackthorn hedges provide ample nesting sites and food. It’s no surprise that many birds and other animals feel completely at home here. For bird enthusiasts, this is truly heaven on earth. Be sure not to forget your binoculars!
