Extensive description CloseThe red hiking loop of the hiking area Oud-Rekem lets you enjoy the Maas villages Oud-Rekem, Boorsem, Kotem, and Uikhoven and takes you through the nature reserve de Oude Weerd, where Natuurpunt grazes with donkeys. You will also discover the hamlet Herbricht, which is slowly disappearing to make space for the Maas. Here you can also choose to hike along the river, through an area managed by Limburgs Landschap vzw. You will discover the artwork 'Tree of Life' there.
