Kessenich and the Drie Eigen - groen - 6,1 km
The green hiking loop of the hiking area Kessenich and the Drie Eigen introduces you to the heart of the Vijverbroek, a nature reserve of immeasurable value in the heart of this hiking area.
Extensive description CloseThis is the shortest loop in this area but definitely one with enough challenge. You will hike a long stretch through the Vijverbroek, a beautiful nature reserve on the Belgian-Dutch border in Kinrooi. It is also a marshy area, with alder carr, willow scrub, and floating mats. You will also find poplar woods and humid grasslands. The beaver feels at home here, and you can tell. So be sure to put on rain boots if you choose this route.
9/3: PLEASE NOTE: due to works in Vijverbroek, this walk is temporarily very difficult to access.
This hike goes through a marshy area. As a result, some hiking paths may be muddy and wet. Boots are recommended during this hike!
