This short hike leads you through the Rode Dreef, the former access road to Bovelingen Castle.

Extensive description Close

Directly opposite the remaining castle buildings, a crowned roof of stately beeches filters the sunlight. For centuries, castle lords and their visitors hiked and rode along this 400-meter-long access road to the castle of Bovelingen. The Rode Dreef owes its name to the red soil found here. This soil consisted of waste from the bricks used for the outbuildings of the castle.
