Near this hiking area Heesakkerheide, the picturesque Dommel meanders and you can discover mills in a varied landscape. You don’t actually pass along the river Dommel, but at the watermill 'Wedelse Molen' you can discover the Molenloop.

If you are lucky, you might see the rare small green (butterfly) in spring or the small ice king butterfly in summer. The municipal hiking park Heesakkerpark offers various tree species, an adventurous play meadow for children, a natural artwork on a small island, and a windmill. Also make sure to set aside some time to visit the mills and the mill museum.
