Beringen be-MINE - red - 6,3 km

For the true nature lover, the red route is an absolute must! This hike takes you over the impressive large slag heap of Beringen and through the woodlands at the foot of the hill. For the adventurers among us: make a short detour halfway through the route to the top of the mine slag heap. Here you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view over the entire mining town and the wide surroundings.

You can start this hike at the diving and snorkeling center TODI or at the starting point by the large slag heap.

Tip: Combine the red route with the yellow route (both departing from the diving and snorkeling center TODI) for a longer day trip. This way you discover both the beautiful nature and the rich culture of the mining past. Don’t forget to visit the fascinating mining museum!
