Bellevuebos - yellow arrow - 3,7 km
This is one of the rare hikes in Haspengouw where you can enjoy the true woodland experience. In winter or after heavy rain, some paths may be muddy. Sturdy footwear or boots are recommended then.
Extensive description CloseThe Bellevuebos, located on the steepest slope of the Winterbeekvallei, is one of the largest contiguous woodlands in this region and is managed by the Agency for Nature and Forests. The beautiful vistas that give the name 'Bellevue' owe to the fact that this estate lies between 60 and 87 meters above sea level. At the southern edge of the woodland, you will find Belle Vue Castle, probably an 18th-century hunting pavilion of Baron de Copis, the then castle lord of Gors.
