Along the way, you will discover the best-preserved floodplains along the Maas in terms of relief and parcel layout. Heppeneert is also a well-known pilgrimage site for Our Lady of Rest, Mary. Every year, this small community is visited by tens of thousands of people who come to light a candle for good luck. Be sure to take a look inside the church and the adjoining park.
Opposite the church, the community of Heppeneert has created a path that leads you all the way to the Maas. At the end, you get a beautiful view over the Maas.
