Extensive description CloseThe Alden Biesen landscape walk, on the eastern slope of the Demer Valley, takes you past the standard orchards of the Alden Biesen estate, expansive fields on the plateaus, stream valleys with wet micro-nature, and stunning panoramas. At the heart of the area stands the Alden Biesen Commandery. This monumental castle site left a lasting mark on the surroundings and the history of the region.
This walking route can easily be shortened. Follow the brown crosses near the Molenbeemd nature reserve and rejoin the yellow route a little further on.
