On this hike, you will enjoy the tranquility in the nature reserve Jekervallei, a beautiful, watery area that is perfect for hiking. In spring, the white saxifrage and the yellow marsh marigold add a fresh spring touch. The hike passes meadows, fields, and orchards. This area is the perfect home for animals such as the badger, the beaver, and the yellowhammer – a bird that delivers an atmospheric melody with full (yellow) throat. Lovers of classical music recognize a piece of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony in its song.
