With the Maasvallei to the east and the Bosbeekvallei to the west, the pine forests of Bergerven seem to be located on a ridge. In fact, it is the northern extension of the Kempens Plateau. You will have to hike uphill quite often. It is no coincidence that this vast area was an important hiding place for the secret resistance army during World War II. Now, peaceful calm and silence prevail. Former gravel pits have been transformed into lakes where nature eagerly returns. Ten hikes, ranging in distance from 2.7 km to 13.8 km, show you the way. You can combine loops using the handy hiking switches.
TIP: be sure to hike the Top Trail Bergerven of 13.8 km!
