Welcome to Holiday Studio Villa van Brienen. Villa van Brienen is an estate with a manor house located on the edge of the Maaslands village of Rotem. The stately house was built in the 19th century by the noble family ‘van Brienen’ during the same period the canal was dug. For a long time, there was also a customs post here for passing ships. Meanwhile, the ‘Dreessen’ family has lived here for 5 generations, but to be fair, the original name ‘Villa van Brienen’ remains. The front facade enjoys a peaceful view of the Zuid-Willemsvaart while the rear facade faces the woodlands of the Kempens plateau.
The upper floor of the former barn was converted into a luxurious holiday studio for 3 people. On the ground floor is a luxurious holiday home for 6 people.
Nearby is bike node 44 of the Limburgs fietsroutenetwerk and the Bergerven nature reserve (Limburgs Landschap), of which Jean Dreessen is curator. The main gate of the Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen ‘Connecterra’ is also not far away.
From the private parking, you have direct access to marked hiking trails and mountain biking routes.
