Small, cosy half-timbered house with a large garden, located in the Belgian Voer region.
In the heart of the Belgian Voerstreek lies the charming 2-person half-timbered cottage called the Kraanvogel. This very pleasant accommodation exudes a certain calm thanks to the extensive use of ecological materials. With a delightful outdoor space, it is the perfect base to explore the special features of the Voerstreek, starting with the castle across the street.
Upon arrival at the courtyard, you are greeted by a beautiful crane made of corten steel. Entering the house, you find yourself in a small hall with a wardrobe, and the ground floor also houses the bathroom, equipped with a sink, toilet, and shower. You then go upstairs via the stairs, where the cozy living area is located. The living room is tastefully furnished with authentic furniture that perfectly matches the old character of the building. From the living room, you have access to the rooftop terrace, where you have a beautiful view of the castle of St. Pieters-Voeren. The open kitchen is small but complete, with a beautiful Bordeaux red design and equipped with all conveniences, such as enough crockery, a 2-burner gas stove, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee maker, kettle, and even a small dishwasher. The romantic bedroom is located in the roof ridge and is accessible via a ladder. You will sleep wonderfully here on the comfortable box spring bed.
As a guest of the Kraanvogel, you can enjoy not only the lovely rooftop terrace but also the large garden and courtyard. In the courtyard, there is a covered terrace where you can sit comfortably sheltered and enjoy a glass of wine, a good book, or the view of the flower-rich courtyard. Follow the path in the courtyard and you will arrive at the large garden, characterized by old trees, a pond, mushrooms, and lush borders.
