Modern villa , fully wheelchair accessible incl. lift
In the beautiful village of Teuven, just across the Dutch border, lies the luxurious 22-person holiday home Varnhof. This former farmstead is surrounded by fruit trees, fields, and woodland. The Varnhof is not only beautifully situated and stylishly furnished but also wheelchair accessible! It is no coincidence that this holiday home has been classified as a 4-star accommodation by the Flemish government.
The building was constructed in 1920 and was a farmstead for a long time. In 1940, it was acquired by the Meyers family, who established a dairy farm there. The farmstead also became home to chickens, pigs, and hundreds of tall-stemmed fruit trees. Over time, the livestock—and therefore the farmstead—grew steadily. In 1980, a nearby farmstead was severely damaged by a fire. The Meyers family empathized greatly with the farmer involved and offered him a temporary stable at Varnhof. When the farmer left, the stables were used for a while as fruit storage. Subsequently, the plans changed again. The family aimed to transform the farmstead into a high-quality, atmospheric holiday home accessible to everyone. We can say that this mission was accomplished!
