Holiday home De Luysmolen

logies

In our spacious holiday home, you stay quietly and secluded, surrounded by greenery. Staying in our holiday home means escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life. You completely unwind while enjoying both the house and the surroundings.
Renovated and equipped according to contemporary standards, it still carries the charm of days gone by. It was once home to a miller’s family: texts engraved in the authentic wooden beams let you imagine the scenes that took place here in the past. You can see the watermill across the street turning and grinding on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

We offer our guests the opportunity for guided hikes in the surrounding natural areas and nature experience activities such as campfire cooking and nature coaching. Would you like to get your hands in the clay? Then book a ceramics workshop at the nearby mill, the Binkermolen, with PuurHelena.

The house is located in the cross-border landscape park Kempenbroek, a 25,000 ha area where wet alternates with dry, open with closed, nature with culture. It stretches across the municipalities of Cranendonck, Weert, Nederweert, Bocholt, Bree, Kinrooi, and Maaseik. Here you will find a true mosaic of landscapes: marshes, stream valleys, ponds, woodlands, heathland, hayfields, meadows, fields, and large-scale agricultural areas. In short, something for everyone with water as the central theme. Many rare plant and animal species feel at home here. Did you know that few places in the Benelux have as many dragonfly species as Kempenbroek? In recent years the beaver has also returned, and not just that—our Limburg wolves crossed into Belgium through this nature park. For the birdwatcher, there are numerous bird hides. With a bit of luck, you might even see the red deer.

You can explore Kempenbroek in countless ways: hiking or cycling, but you can also go mountain biking, horseback riding, or carriage driving.
