Hikers' Cabins

Beautifully located at the former Eisden train station, you will find the brand new trekkers' huts of the Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen. These are upgraded "hikers" huts where you can stay overnight with a maximum of 4 people per hut.
We have two trekkers' huts available: trekkers' hut "Wagon" and trekkers' hut "Locomotive".

Both trekkers' huts are located next to each other at the end of stage 2 of the National Park Trail. Next to the huts is the bike and hiking café "De Statie" where you can get a snack and a drink (opening hours). The trekkers' huts are intended for hikers who hike the National Park Trail over multiple days, and long-distance cyclists who use the bike trail network and want to stay overnight in a basic but affordable way along the route.
