Haspengouw wine in Genoelselderen
Alden Biesen
Haspengouw
The castle lords of yesteryear enjoyed hunting in the Grootbos on the steep slope east of the castle, which now forms a nature reserve. Anyone seeing the beautiful wine castle for the first time might momentarily feel like they are in France. With 22 hectares of vineyards, the estate feels quite un-Belgian. The Chardonnay grape grown here can easily rival its French counterparts.
