Brasserie de Wissel is a cozy brasserie in the heart of Rekem (Lanaken), just 1 km from the most beautiful village in Flanders (Oud Rekem).

This brasserie is run by Michael & Laura Timmermans, brother and sister, making it a true family business. Together with their team, they are ready day and night to give their customers the best of themselves.

Brasserie de Wissel is known for its honest and delicious cuisine at democratic prices. An extensive menu with fresh salads, pastas, croques, sandwiches, but also mussels, steak, fish dishes, and an excellent ice cream & dessert menu.

60 seats inside (air-conditioned and pleasantly cool in the summer) and 60 seats on the lovely cozy terrace, about 30 of which are covered (and heated).

A constantly changing suggestion menu by Chef Laura is a well-known concept among all locals and well beyond.

Whether it’s for a drink, a snack, or an extensive lunch or dinner, everyone is welcome at Brasserie de Wissel. Young and old, and certainly for the little ones, there is a varied kids’ menu.
