On the former fruit railway line stands a work of art in honor of Holocaust survivor Simon Gronowski. On April 19, 1943, the then 11-year-old Jewish boy Simon was put on the train to Auschwitz together with his mother. Thanks to an intervention by the resistance, Simon was able to jump from the train at this spot. His mother remained on the train. She was murdered in Auschwitz. The artwork is by Koenraad Tinel.
