Natuurpunt, everywhere in Flanders
Natuurpunt can be found everywhere in Flanders. There is also a nature reserve near you. In total, we manage more than 28,000 hectares of Flemish nature in 500 different nature reserves.
With 180 local branches, Natuurpunt is literally active in every Flemish municipality. Local branches take care of the nature reserves in your area and organize all kinds of activities there. Join in and get to know the nature lovers in your neighborhood.
Natuurpunt thrives thanks to the commitment of thousands of volunteers. They form the foundation of Natuurpunt. They are busy every day working for more and better nature: managing nature reserves, keeping Natuurpunt branches running, guiding walks, organizing activities, … Thanks to their enthusiasm, nature is given a new future in Flanders.
Limburgs Landschap
Limburgs Landschap vzw is a nature association from Limburg. By purchasing and managing areas, they ensure more nature and biodiversity. They not only protect what remains but also restore what was lost and even develop new nature. Meanwhile, they already manage more than 40 nature areas, together amounting to about 2,800 ha of nature in Limburg. They gladly open these for walkers and cyclists so that everyone can fully enjoy them. Of course, Limburgs Landschap takes the carrying capacity of nature into account, and therefore not all spots are equally accessible. This way, we can continue to enjoy these beauties in the future.
More nature in Limburg
As a recognized land-managing nature association, Limburgs Landschap vzw receives annual subsidies for the purchase and management of more nature in Limburg. Unfortunately, these subsidies do not cover all the costs.
