The blue hiking trail combines a passage over the Beukenberg with a tour along the nature reserve Herenbos, the meadows around the castle of Rooi, and the village of Mulken. Halfway through, you have a beautiful view of Tongeren and the surroundings from a high seat.

The Bosbeek, also known as the Oeterbeek, springs from the Kempens Plateau and after quite a large descent reaches the Vlakte van Bocholt. The red route shows you the agricultural landscape around Wurfeld Castle.

The orange loop in the hiking area Aldeneik is the northernmost and goes to Ophoven along the Maas. The route along the Maas is mostly paved and offers some beautiful views over the water.

This hike introduces you to the Bosbeekvallei from the village of Opoeteren, the Aerdshouw Domain Woodland, and the cultural historical landscape of the Houw.
