The hike starts at the parking Oog van Sint-Pieter. From there you hike up the path towards the fort. Afterwards you hike over the Sint-Pietersberg and through the beautiful Jekerdal. Enjoy the spectacular views and elevation differences.
Extensive description CloseSouth of Maastricht, between Jeker and Maas rises the Sint-Pietersberg. The mining of marl created a maze of underground tunnels and took a large bite out of the hill. Thousands of bats hibernate in the tunnels.
