Schulensbroek is one of the largest nature reserves in Flanders and enjoys European protection! Many plant and animal species have found their home here. A lake, vast grasslands and meadows, ponds, and numerous landscape features, such as pollarded willows, hawthorn and blackthorn hedges, provide plenty of nesting sites and food. It is no surprise that many birds and other animals feel perfectly at home here. For bird lovers, this is truly heaven on earth. Be sure not to forget your binoculars!
