The green route winds through the historic site of the Abbey of Herkenrode, allowing you to soak up the unique atmosphere. Start at the imposing gateway, discover the stables, the Sacrament chapel, and the abbesses' quarter. Along the infirmary, hike to the Demer and via the bridge, pass by the restored abbey watermill. Ideal to combine with a visit to the Abbey buildings or the herb garden.
